0 Gloversville, NY Gloversville, NY Full-time Full-time $80,000 a year $80,000 a year The Addictions Clinic Director is the leader of a multidisciplinary behavioral health clinical team with client centered care as the foundation of our model while demonstrating measurable outcomes.
The Addictions Clinic Director is responsible for overseeing and developing the assigned clinic programs including hiring, supervision, evaluation and scheduling.
Also developing, planning and implementing strategies for program continuation and growth.
This position provides both clinical and personnel supervision of the staff and must have the ability to think globally, solve problems and have good decision-making skills, including critical thinking skills.
You will be responsible for supervising and directing everything from employees and budgets to technology and operations.
The Addictions Clinic Director must possess excellent management and mentoring skills, be an outstanding communicator able to resolve conflicts and issues.
A deep respect for policies and ethics is a must and the ability to inspire that in others is ideal for the role.
The goal is to ensure the smooth running of the clinic aiming to maximum performance and providing superior client care.
Required Education and Experience Master's degree in a related Healthcare Field Registered Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist preferred or CASAC- Advanced Counselor and CASAC- Master Counselor Three years of experience in a comparable position dedicated to quality/ health improvement in a managed care organization or provider group or governmental agency or similar setting preferred.
At least two years' experience in dual diagnosis treatment or substance use disorder.
Demonstrate expertise in a wide range of clinical interventions with varied populations and must demonstrate capability in the integration of clinical work with the requirements of the New York State Office of Mental Health and OASAS.
Must have knowledge of the human service provider's structure and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with other professionals.
Extensive knowledge of ethics, confidentiality and child welfare is required.
Willingness to learn and follow clinic's standards of practice Ability to successfully pass the Medicaid exclusion screening and background check Demonstrable ability to connect with and provide trauma-informed cared and support to a diverse client population Essential Functions Devise trauma-informed strategies and plans for the clinic according to Agency standards for superior client care and Agency growth Plan and oversee all client care or administrative operations and programs Work collaboratively with Human Resources to recruit staff ensuring the Agency is equipped with qualified personnel Monitors licensure/certification requirements; supervises clinical practice.
Hold staff accountable for performance measures including, but not limited to, productivity, timely documentation of clinical services, compliance with OASAS, Medicaid and other regulatory and funding authorities, etc.
Promote the positive and stable health of clients through a program of individualized care from initial diagnosis through treatment and follow-up services.
Coordinate and supervise staff providing constructive feedback Provide staff with training and opportunities for continuous development, including direct supervision and facilitating clinical meetings.
Ensure a high degree of ethical and professional standards are followed by all staff members Evaluate performance and discipline employees when necessary Monitor the overall quality and effectiveness of the Agency's clinical programs and make necessary programmatic recommendations Monitor compliance to legal guidelines, internal policies and quality standards Assist in the on-going development, implementation, and maintenance of Corporate Compliance Policies and Procedures, relevant to the provision of clinical services, as prescribed by regulating body Orient, train and supervise clinicians in assessment, screening, admission, treatment planning, referral sources and discharge planning Act as a member of the Crisis Response and Emergency Overdose Prevention Team.
Develop, implement and maintain staff training of the use of overdose prevention kits Must be trained in emergency response treatment and must complete regular refresher courses/ drills on handling emergencies.
Resolve conflicts among staff and clientele and manages reassignments when indicated.
Provide quality assurance review of clinical documentation including the development of comprehensive templates.
Respond in a timely manner to client/provider complaints regarding direct reports.
Ensure on-going clinical chart review to ensure clinical quality, regulatory compliance and fiscal health.
Prepare for OASAS re-certification visits and corrective action planning as indicated.
Participate as agency representative as needed or requested, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with staff members, clients, school system staff and faculty, grantors, funders, regulators and members of the general public.
Maintain the highest ethical standards of human service professionals regarding respect for the individual and confidentiality.
Participate in staff development activities to support professional growth and development.
Participate as a member of the Agency DEI Council Collaborate with Human Resources and other departments to host regular quarterly implicit bias, and workplace inclusiveness trainings for all Actively encourage the wellbeing and mindfulness of our employees, aiding in creating a culture of Equity, Inclusion and Belonging.
Follows agency Compliance Plan and Standards of Conduct Support and participate in the agency's Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
